Show Notes

Welcome back to another Fall semester with the Advising 2Bits podcast! We sat down for an important conversation with Carrie Rose (Assistant Director, Auburn Cares) and Katherine Weathers (Senior Deputy Title IX Coordinator) to discuss the resources available to students and employees on campus who have been affected by interpersonal violence including domestic, sexual, and emotional.

The Title IX and Safe Harbor offices on campus serve to help students and employees impacted by this violence and assists them in finding a path forward through confidential conversations and resolutions. Please listen in as we ask questions about what the processes in these offices look like and how to reach out when in need.

Safe Harbor is a confidential, free resource for all Auburn University students and employees who have experienced sexual or relationship violence. Safe Harbor helps connect people to resources and can provide information about reporting options. Safe Harbor is available to speak to your class or office about resources for survivors of sexual violence and how students and employees can help someone who tells them about an incidence of violence.

If interested, please email safeharbor@auburn.edu to request a presentation. Additionally, you can always refer yourself or someone else to meet with a Safe Harbor advocate for support online through aub.ie/saferefer or by calling our hotline at 334-844-7233.”
